Speed Ratings

They compile their own unique speed ratings for every horse race in the UK and Ireland. The ratings are provided on a subscription basis, but are free to view every Wednesday.

Inform Racing

Speed ratings based on time, distance and going, for UK flat and all weather horse racing. Individual race cards provide ratings for each horse's last three runs, plus master, course and distance rating. They also include data that shows which stalls have a statistical advantage for each individual race.

PJM Racing

Dr Peter May publishes, on a daily basis, in-depth speed ratings and form guide for national hunt, all weather and 2 year old races. Each day he provides free ratings for one race.

Ratings guide for UK flat racing, outlining the potentially strongest and weakest horses in each race, as a starting point for daily selections.

In Fine Form

Free form ratings for UK and Irish horse races. They provide a rating for each horse in the race, based upon earnings, distance, going and recent runs.

Racing Figures

Free daily speed figures and selections for UK and US horse racing. UK figures are for races of grade 3 and above.

Advanced Ratings

Daily race ratings, supplied as a excel spreadsheet, for all UK and Irish races. The ratings are supplied on a subscription basis and come complete with betting systems for both backing and laying.

Racing Research

Mathematically developed UK horse racing performance ratings. Overnight form guides are available via email or download. Other publications are sent by first-class post.

Jadwiz Racing

Provide form guides, which include trainer and jockey profiles for the particular race conditions. They've also put together a number of betting systems.

Ratings Plus

4 sets of form ratings, on two sheets. Plus 1 ratings are mainly collated from the form the horse has achieved over its past 3 runs. Plus 2 includes ratings for Totalform, Plus 3 provides class ratings and Bullet Proof (takes into account the form of the trainer and the jockey).


Speed handicap figures for UK all weather meetings, provided free via a daily blog on the site. They also provide 3 subscription services; "On The Money", "The Actuary" and "Trip Handicap".

Racing Buzz

Speed ratings for UK flat races. They provide a race card for each race that includes details of horse, draw, weight, official rating, jockey and trainer, plus 5 year minimum, maximum and average speed ratings. They also provide draw statistics, jockey and trainer stats and horse head to head details.

Van Der Wheil

5 Star racecards and betting forecasts for select races. The stars are used to represent each of the horses respective form and ability. They include an explanation of how to use the racecards to assess a race, plus have a forum for comments.


Horse racing app that's ideal for beginners and those who haven't got the time to study horse racing form. It's available via the App Store, Google Play, Amazon and also via their web site.


Ratings card that consists of two main sections: the runner list and the filters. The runner list shows information about all the runners in the race. There is one line per runner with various columns, some of which can be sorted.

Rating The Races

They started out as just a ratings service, but realised not everyone had the time to use the data to best effect, so they now also provide a tipping service.
