About Newbury Racecourse

All year round racing, with flat turf races between April to October and national hunt races from November through to March. In 2016 they started major redevelopment of the race course.

Course Details

Flat:

Left-handed, almost flat, roughly 1 mile 7 furlongs with 4½ furlong run-in. Races on round mile and over 7 furlongs start on chute. Straight mile has minor undulations.

National Hunt:

Left-handed, flat and galloping, with stiff fences. Circuit 1 mile 7 furlongs.
