Backing To Win
Top performing tipster for September was Peter Raymond Racing, who banked a profit of 70.24 points over the month, from 110 bets, based upon 1 point level stakes at Betfair SP. All Peter’s bets are advised on a win only basis and he successfully backed 19 winners, giving a success rate of 17.27%. The winners included several double figure priced selections, including Mrs Burbridge 12/1 (BSP 15.33), Remarkable 10/1 (BSP (12.61), Lord E 14/1 (BSP 20.00), Evening Starlight 12/1 (BSP 16.00), Renfrew Street 11/1 (BSP 14.73) and Ballybolley 10/1 (BSP 15.81).
Peter Raymond September Profit Graph
September was the 3rd profitable month in a row for Peter Raymond Racing, which has been a good turn around from the losses incurred in the first 6 months of this year.
September also proved a good month for the Form Ratings service, who have struggled with some big losses over the summer, after their mega large profit reported in April. Their profit of 58.21 points was based on 306 winners from 1520 bets, giving a success rate of 20.13%. It should be emphasised that their ratings service rates every horse in every race and therefore their top rated selections should only be used as a starting position when analysing a race, rather than simply blindly backing all top rated selections.
Coupled with the success of Form Ratings was that of T2W Ratings, who are run by the same team. The top rated selections of the 2 services very closely reflect each other, so it’s no surprise that when one service does well, so does the other. Having been up 112 points by the 18th September, they ended the month with a profit of 50.27 points.
Vrun produced a creditable profit of 34.40 points for the month of September, but remains well down for the year, due to the losses incurred during the first 3 months of the year. They are however showing a profit over the past 6 months, so things are looking on the up, for a service that has seen some good profits in the past.
It was another good month for 2020 Racing, who have been in great form since the the Cheltenham Festival. Their profit of 28.22 points during September brings their overall profit for the year up to 80.63 points.
Another service worth a mention is CBWinBot. They only started proofing to Racing-Index at the end of August, but it’s been a good start for them. Things started well enough, but then dropped off during the middle of the month before a great final week saw them finish the month with a profit of 17.60 points. This looks to be a service worth keeping and eye on over the coming months.
Laying To Lose
For the 3rd month in a row Sniper Bets has performed the best of the Lay bet services proofing to Racing-Index, banking a profit of 8.52 points, from 82 bets, based upon 1 point risked per bet, at Betfair SP. Despite the good overall profit, it wasn’t plain sailing throughout the month, as the graph below illustrates. As with any service, there’s bound to be losing periods, but overall the service is very much on an upwards trend.
Running Sniper Bets a close second for the month was Wayne Bailey Racing, with 7.21 points profit, albeit from nearly 3 times as many bets. It’s the first profitable month this year for the service that produced 57 points profit last year, so hopefully things are now back on the up.
