Backing To Win
There was some fine performances in June from the tipsters proofing their selections to Racing-Index, with 2 services recording over 100 points profit based upon 1 point level stakes based upon Betfair SPs.
The first of those was Pace Tips, who weighed in with a profit of +138.23 points. The month didn’t start too well for them, halfway through the month, they were down over 20 points, but thanks to a number of big priced winners the second half of the month was a hell of a lot better. Winners included Bernie’s Boy at 33/1 (BSP 60.0), Lyrica’s Lion at 25/1 (BSP 49.09), Pepita at 20/1 (BSP 25.0) and several others over 10/1.

Tips Tap Firenze banked a profit of +116.64 points. They’ve only been proofing this service since February, but it’s already the third time they’ve received a mention in the monthly highlights and are showing nearly +200 points profit during that period. Over half of that profit was thanks to Alys Rock, which was a 66/1 (BSP 110.0) winner on 27th June.

Tips Tap Dark Horses also did really well during June, with +70.42 point profit, from only around 1/3 rd as many bets as Firenze. The big winner for that service was Bacchus at 33/1 (BSP 59.42) in the Wokingham Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Thanks to Bacchus’ victory, Tips Tap Dark Horses managed to return the biggest profit at the Royal meeting, with an overall profit of +59.67 points. However they only backed 3 horses at the festival, so if you’d wanted more runners to cheer for, SpeedRatings.com Layer Slayer would have been the service to follow. They provided 60 selections as win and place bets and banked a profit of +41.0 points across the 5 days. Their main profits came courtesy of Lagostovegas 10/1 (BSP 15.3) winner of the Ascot Stakes, Settle For Bay at 16/1 (BSP 24.54) in the Royal Hunt Cup and Soldier’s Call at 12/1 (BSP 13.97) in the Windsor Castle Stakes.
The big race festivals seem to be where the Layer Slayer service really excel. That’s the 2nd year in a row they’ve returned the 2nd highest profit at Royal Ascot and they topped the table at the Cheltenham festival both years. Their record for Cheltenham and Ascot for the past 2 years reads as follows:
Cheltenham 2017 : +82.19 points
Royal Ascot 2017 : +69.21 points
Cheltenham 2018: +66.37 points
Royal Ascot 2018 : +41.00 points
My-plan-B had a fine June, with a BSP profit of +49.75 points. They had a success rate of just over 30% and are now only showing a small loss for the year so far. Dance King was the big winner for them at 16/1 (BSP 25.1), plus Cosmic Law at 10/1 (BSP 14.0).

Soccer Profit Center have been proofing their selections since March. Initially they started well, but a bad run of results saw them over -70 point down after a month of proofing. However since then they’ve battled back well and with +42 points in June, they are now back into profit. Wins for Celtic Monarch at 20/1 (BSP 30.75), Dartford Warbler at 20/1 (BSP 36.13) and Cecil Corbett at 12/1 (BSP 16.5) secured the majority of the profits during June.

Last month I gave a mention to RaceBetter – Premium Tips, who started proofing in April and had had 2 profitable months of results. They provide a mixture of win and place bets and had a combined strike rate of over 40% during the first 2 months of proofing. At the time of writing I said they’d had 8 wins from 9 bets at the start of June and I thought after a run like that they were probably due a correction in results. That proved to be the case and they dropped around 7 points over the next 2 1/2 weeks, but they came back strong to finish the month on a new high, with their overall profit, since they started proofing, increasing to +44.18 points.

Laying To Lose
June proved a difficult month for the tipster who proof their lay bet selections to Racing-Index. Lay Bet Winners outperformed the others with a 92.9% strike rate and a profit of +2.59 points, based upon 1 point risked per selection. They’d been 4.5 points up, earlier in the month, but were unable to maintain the good run until the end of the month. Having said that, they’re on an upwards trend, they’re over 10 points up for the first half of the year and have a strike rate of over 90%.
