Laying To Lose
It’s been a good start to the year for Lay Bet Winners. They followed up their January profit of 2.16 points, with a further 2.57 points in February. That may not sound a great deal, but bear in mind they have a strike rate of 89% and the profit is based upon risking 1 point per selection, so when successfully laying a selections at 10/1 that’s only a profit of 0.1 points, rather than staking 1 point per selection, where a successful lay would make a profit of 1 point (not taking into account commission) but you’d risk losing 10 points if the horse was to win the race.

Last Month I mentioned 2020 Racing’s 240 lays service was on a winning run of 41 successful lay bets. They managed to get to 49 winning lays in a row before Chevallier won at 6/1 on 10th February. After that they went on another winning streak of 29 bets, but a couple of losing bets at the end of February put paid to most of the profits they’d built up during February.
