Spread betting offers a number of bet opportunities for horse racing that are not available from conventional fixed odds betting. Once you've placed a spread bet, you have the option to stop the bet when you want. So if your selection is doing well and you're in for a decent profit, you can take a profit. Likewise if the bet is not going the way you'd planned, you can cut your losses and close out the bet.
At first glance spread betting can seem a bit complicated and can put a lot of people off getting involved, but really it is pretty simple to understand and we've put together a few examples to show you how easy it really is.
