Sports Spread Betting on Horse Racing

Spread betting offers a number of bet opportunities for horse racing that are not available from conventional fixed odds betting. Once you've placed a spread bet, you have the option to stop the bet when you want. So if your selection is doing well and you're in for a decent profit, you can take a profit. Match Bets

A Match Bet spread bet is a prediction of the distance separating two horses when they cross the line. The market is a supremacy market, where the more fancied horse is listed first and the less fancied horse second. See Match Bet Spread Betting

Race Index

A Race Index bet, is about how well an individual horse will perform in a race. Points are awarded according to where they finish. The points structure varies according to how many runners there are in a race. See Race Index Spread Betting

Distances

A Distances spread bet is a prediction on the total winning margins (distance between first and second placed horses) of each race at the meeting. Points are awarded a s 1 point per length won by. See Distances Spread Betting

Starting Prices

A Starting Prices spread bet is a prediction of the total starting prices of all the winners at a particular meeting. For example a 5/1 winner counts as 5 points, a 7/2 winner counts as 3.5 points etc. See Starting Prices Spread Betting

Favourites

A Favourites spread bet is a prediction on the performance of the Favourites in each race at a meeting. Points are awarded as follows: 25 points for winning; 10 points for finishing second and 5 points for finishing third. See Favourites Spread Betting

Racing Post Favourites

A Racing Post Favourites spread bet is a prediction on the performance of the favourites, as forecast in the Racing Post newspaper, in each race at a meeting. Jockey / Trainer Performance

Double Card

A Double Card spread bet is a prediction on the total of the racecard numbers of all the winners, at a particular meeting, multiplied by 2. See Double Card Spread Betting

Heavyweights

A Heavyweights spread bet is a prediction on the performance of the horses with race card number 1 (top weighted) in each of the races at the meeting. Points are awarded as: 25 points for winning; 10 points for second and 5 points for third. See Heavyweights Spread Betting

Featherweights

A Featherweights spread bet is a prediction on the performance of the horses with the highest racecard number in each of the races at the meeting. Points are awarded as: 25 points for winning; 10 points for second and 5 points for third. See Featherweights Spread Betting

Stop At A Winner

A Stop At A Winner spread bet is a prediction on the number of races on a racecard to lapse before a favourite wins. The number of that particular race is then multiplied by ten. See Stop At A Winner Spread Betting

Multi-Mules

A Multi-Mules spread bet is a prediction on the racecard number of the winning horse multiplied by the racecard number of the horse finishing second, aggregated together for a race meeting. See Multi-Mules Spread Betting
