Coronation Stakes

The Coronation Stakes is a 3 year old group 1 fillies race run over 1 mile during the Royal Ascot meeting.

The race was first run in 1840 to celebrate the coronation of Queen Victoria two years earlier. It attained Group 1 status in 1988 and is the fillies' equivalent of the St. James's Palace Stakes.
