Horse racing app that’s ideal for beginners and those who haven’t got the time to study horse racing form. It’s available via the App Store, Google Play, Amazon and also via their web site.

The app provides race cards for UK and Irish horse racing and promises real time updates as the betting markets and vibes take shape. Races are colour coded to show the different categories of race.

They use traffic light colour coded horse shoes to indicate the horses fitness, ability, conditions, vibes and bookmakers odds. Green is good, Amber could be good or bad and Red is typically bad.

Based upon these indicators they show their top 3 recommendations for each race. These recommendations can change throughout the day, as the app updates it’s data.

On their site they mention the % of top rated winners they’ve had, but there’s no mention of how that equates to a profit or loss, therefore over the next couple of months we’ll be checking the selections on the app and submitting them to the proofing area to see how they get on.

They also provide a newsletter, which provides subscribers with winner finding advice on Saturdays and major race days.

I have been using BetTurtle for a while, the race-cards are excellent, they are adding new content and filters all of the time and the key factor is that at the moment it is FREE once registered. It is rapidly surpassing the Racing Post/Sporting Life (especially now they are going Beta) and as a free resource is already the equal of “paid for” sites like GeegeezGold and Horse Race Base and others. The graphics are outstanding and the tips are also FREE and throw up a nice stream of winners. There is a daily email, full of useful information and what is best of all is no bombardment to sign Bookie or other affinity deals. For free is is outstanding and even if they do monetarise at some point still worth a long look. 10/10
