On Day 1 of Royal Ascot we saw Speculate 2 Accumulate’s Barry Nicholls perform well, on Day 2 it was the turn of another one of their services, with their 2015 Elite Service coming out on top. Although the table below shows them as having 8 bets on the day, they actually proofed selections as each both win and place bets, so there was only actually 4 selections.
Things didn’t look good early on in the day with the first 3 selections finishing 26th, 23rd and 22nd, but Zhul Feng came up trumps, winning the Royal Hunt Cup at 25/1 (BSP 35.09 for the win and 6.70 the place) giving them a profit on the day of 32.11 points based upon 1 point level stakes at Betfair SP.
Free Racing Tips did well with their FRT Gold and FRT Lucky 15 services, with all 3 Ascot selections winning. Le Brivido won the Jersey Stakes at 2/1 (BSP 3.15), Qemah won the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at 5/2 (BSP 4.1) and Highland Reel won the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at 9/4 (BSP 3.55), giving a level the stakes profit of 7.41. The other selection that made up the Lucky 15 bet, ran at Hamilton, but could only manage 7th.
Racecall backed the same 3 winners as the FRT services and also made the frame with an each-way bet on Queen of Time at 8/1 in the Sandringham Stakes. Equine Expert also proofed Qemah and Highland Reel, to add to their profit from Day 1, where they proofed Ribchester.
SP2A’s – 2015 Elite Service results, put them overall top for the 2 days. Stable Winners were unable to build upon their Day 1 success, but remain in second place, while Horse Exchange Betting Tips 3 wins from 3 bets see them in third.
Just a handful of lay bets were proofed for Royal Ascot yesterday, so nothing really worth mentioning.
The weather’s looking a bit cooler today, which I’m sure the horses will appreciate, even if those going to watch would prefer it to be more sunny. Hopefully we’ll see another excellent day’s racing and some good performances from our proofed tipsters.
