Top performing tipster on Day 4 of the festival was Tipping Supermarket’s Ireland service, racking up 25.73 points, based upon 1 point level stakes at Betfair SP, thanks to Penhill winning the Albert Bartlett @ 16/1 (BSP 18.0) and Sizzing John winning the Gold Cup at 7/1 (BSP 8.6). Those winners moved them up to 3rd in the overall table for the festival, just ahead of their stablemate Valueman.
It was also a good day for another Tipping Supermarket service. Their TJW Racing service banked a profit of 15.81 points, with Rock The World winning the Grand Annual at 10/1 (BSP 16.54).
SpeedRatings.com Layer Slayer were popping the corks and celebrating finishing top of our Cheltenham Festival proofing table. Champagne Classic winning the Martin Pipe Conditionals’ Handicap Hurdle @ 12/1 (BSP 16.0) was a fitting way for them to end the meeting.
2020 Racing couldn’t close the gap to Layer Slayer, with no winners on the final day, but still finish the festival in 2nd place thanks to their winner earlier in the week.
No proofed selections again from The Racing Edge, which was a shame as I had high expectations for their service at the start of the festival, but they seem to have gone AWOL the last couple of days.
Betting Rant – The Syndicate ended the festival showing a profit, thanks to a couple of winners on the last day of the festival, which gave them a 10.73 points profit on the day. Defi Du Seuil winning the Triumph Hurdle @ 5/2 (BSP 4.10) and Artic Fire’s victory in the County Handicap Hurdle @ 20/1 (BSP 26.70) .
