What a great day it was yesterday for members of SpeedRatings.com Layer Slayer service, especially those that backed the selections at Betfair SP. Having not picked any winners on Day 1 of the festival, they struck gold on Day 2 thanks to 2 big priced winners. First up in the Queen Mother Champion Chase they took on the heavy odds on favourite (Douvan) and were rewarded with a victory for Special Tiara @ 11/1. For those who took the Betfair SP, it paid out an amazing 41.49. Layers on Betfair were well and truly slayed at that price.
They swiftly followed up that great result with an even better one, with Flying Tiger landing the Fred Winter Juvenile Novices’ @ 33/1 (BSP 57.28). That took their profit to 85.94 points for Day 2 and 80.94 points overall for the festival.
It was also a great day for 2020 Racing as they too put Flying Tiger up as a selection, amongst 3 other horses they proofed in the Fred Winter. This gave them a healthy 48.62 points profit on the day based upon Betfair SP.
Tipping Supermarkets Valueman service also returned a good profit on the day thanks to Willoughby Court’s victory in the Neptune Investment Novices’ Hurdle @ 14/1 (BSP 16.5). They proofed the selection as a win and place selection, which helped them to a profit of 19.84 points for Day 2 and 15.84 points overall, based upon Betfair SP.
It was a disappointing day for The Racing Edge, as far as their Cheltenham selections went (although they did make a small profit overall on their service, thanks to a winner at Huntingdon). Their 12 selections at the Festival failed to find the winners enclosure, but anyone who backed them each-way would have made a profit, thanks to a 3rd @ 8/1 in the Neptune, 2nd @ 12/1 and 3rd @ 33/1 in the Coral Cup, 4th @ 14/1 in the Fred Winter and 3rd @ 22/1 in the Champion Bumper.
Tipping Supermarket Ireland completes the top 5, at the half way point in the festival, they were unable to find a winner, but a place for Divin Bere limited their loses on the day and keeps them in overall profit of 4.98 points over the 2 days.
